    Description

    A client of mine simply did not have enough room for this bachelors chest. He told me a little about this and I am grateful to have gotten this for my eBay store.  This is actually from the Colonial of Zeeland Michigan Company. He told me this was an oak dresser.  I assume he meant the wood is oak. The color is a dark brown look.  Closer  to cherry color verse an oak color.  The inside of the drawers look oak colored for sure.  They are mostly known for building clocks. This is about 60 years old. The condition is very good. There’s some scratches on the left side which I’ve taken pictures of. There’s some rubbing on the edges and the corners. Specifically the inside right top edge is rubbed where the drawer slides in and out. The left top front corner is rubbed. There are a couple of scratches on the top. There’s a dent on the top rear center. There are a couple chips on the top rear corner. There are a few tiny little rubs and scratches throughout, nothing that bad as you can see by the pictures. One of the wheels is loose.  It is not broken, but can fall off if the weight is off of it.  The wheels work perfectly.  Overall considering it’s age it looks great.  It is my job to point out the flaws, but it is also my job to say with some polish and shine this would make for a great conversation piece.  This chest is available for local pick up in Bethel, CT or it can be shipped.  I always make it clear to my clients that I can pack it for safe transit, I can work with a carrier of your choosing, I can load it for you or your carrier, but you have to pay for your own shipping.  I just say this on all my furniture adds because people buy things and figure the shipping is included.  It has happened numerous times to me. Uship.com has very reasonable rates.  I can help you with them. Any major carrier like Fed-Ex or UPS will most likely cost too much.  This chest weighs about 120 pounds.
