    Why buy new furniture made of particle board when you can get real, solid-wood furniture for less? This piece is over 50 years old and has stood the test of time - a real classic. It has just been refinished and is in excellent condition. I worked in the service department of a major furniture chain for years (repairing and touching up new furniture), and always shook my head in disbelief at why anyone would buy new (but poorly built) furniture at such a marked-up price, when they could buy higher quality, second-hand pieces for a fraction of the cost!
    Drexel produced a stunning French Provincial furniture set between the mid-1950s and 1960s called the Touraine. The furniture was inspired by the curvy lines found in Louis XV furniture which became popular around 1730 - 1775.
