This
Huang Chordet 20 harmonica
is from a
friend who no longer is able to play.
It is
clean, in tune, and play
s
well.
It is
musically sound, playable, and functional.
It was
tuned previously by someone I know (a professional, in my opinion). A
ll
chords and bass notes play easily and sound in tune. I think the bass notes play well due to the consistent reed gapping. No screws are missing.
I cleaned
this harmonica and n
oted some differences in construction that may be a hint to age of manufacture.
There are 17
screws per reed plate
. There is a
screw and nut for the covers
, instead of screw and screw “tube.”
The top
cover has small dent. Bottom cover is scratched and scuffed.
Chordet general notes:
The Huang Chordet 20 has 20 chords with 20 bass notes preceding each chord. It has 5 sets of chord holes (both blow and draw on the upper deck) and 5 sets of chord holes (both blow and draw on the lower deck. The exhale relative minor is on the lower harp, below the exhale relative major on the top harp (A minor bottom harp below C major top harp).
